NYFW 2024 / Khaite Spring 2025
Catherine Holstein’s Spring 2025 collection had me smitten with an understated chicness that has always been prominent to the brand, but especially throughout this presentation. It feels as though there is a certain energy that circulates at their shows — fresh but familiar. I’ve always appreciated the intentionality behind their runways. This season, I found the layout and separation of the runway intriguing for their Spring ’25 showcase — it still had an element of Khaite edge but it was at the same time airy — like a visual representation of how intimate balance can truly be. I enjoyed its mystic simplicity.
As for the collection, I was very into the sheer silk organza bottoms, which I found idyllic for Spring and also beautiful when layered. I appreciated that many of the silhouettes were perfect for the months in which Spring is only teasing us — buildable but also distinct and complete on their own. I found myself being drawn to how they styled oversized leather over sheer silhouettes— something that has continued to be a favored combination each season over the last few years. Holstein’s color palette and fabric choices for this collection felt balanced, the subtle pinks and blues brought just the right amount of warmth.
Overall, I think what constantly keeps Khaite top of mind for their consumer is their understanding of who she is. A woman who knows her silhouette, appreciates texture and attention to detail, but doesn’t overdo it. Could Spring be her new favorite season?
