Agua Studio is a jewelry label creating exquisitely divine ceramic sculptures that are designed and handcrafted in Ecuador as an ode to the beautiful Ecuadorian culture, people and landscapes. Nicole Malakouti, the founder and designer, created Agua Studio to combine her love for fashion, photography and ceramics while challenging herself to go beyond the norm. “ Our mission is to create a new identity of Latin American Design though a language of contemporaneity, we aim to be that Brand that makes women feel inspired and creative.” And they’ve done just that. Each Agua Studio piece captures a unique essence and beauty that simply can’t be replicated “The main inspiration of Agua Studio is definitely Ecuador. Our country is filled with beautiful people, landscapes, and nature. We try to portray that feeling in our brand communication with a global language of images, combining minimalism with a tropical twist and a unique feeling of magical realism that defines our country and continent.”

And that’s not all, each Agua Studio piece is crafted with only the finest sustainable materials “We have carefully selected two materials to work with; Silver and ceramics. Both materials selected for their high quality and luxurious feel. Our goal is to offer a product that lasts over time and seasons. We maintain our sources and suppliers locally, and every piece is handcrafted at our studio located in Quito, Ecuador.” Malakouti tells HOKU.
